2019年8月6日午前0時（米国時間）、8chan掲示板は閲覧できなくなった。
これは数日前に発生した銃乱射事件をうけ、Cloudflareから一方的に締め出されたためである。
CloudflareのCEOは8chanを「ヘイトの汚水溜め」と表現した。
