"Senior Translational Scientist":
This an exciting opportunity for a talented, experienced and motivated Senior Translational Scientist to drive translational pharmacology efforts in the development of novel RNA therapies.
The successful candidate will formulate and execute for one or more drug programmes a biomarker strategy through pre-clinical research and clinical development.
Applicants should be accomplished scientists with a track record in project management and an ability to align cross functional teams.
Expertise is required in one or more therapeutic area including oncology, immunology or cardiometabolic disease.
Combining exceptional experience with a great attitude and positive energy this candidate is expected to have a significant influence in the evolution of novel drug programmes within MiNA Therapeutics.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
・Identify together with Chief Medical Officer and the research team, translational biomarkers for program advancement decisions through pre-clinical research and clinical development
・Collaborate with research scientists to development, qualify, document and transfer novel biomarker assays
・Identify and manage appropriate vendors to perform both pre-clinical and clinical assays including tech transfer and troubleshooting
・Ensure assays performed according to appropriate regulatory and GLP/GCP guidelines as appropriate
・Develop and oversee ‘sample journey’ for all samples required for pre-clinical research and clinical development including external biorepository storage
・Analyse results, author and review technical protocols, reports and other documentation related to assays including clinical protocols Qualifications:
・A Ph.D. degree with 5-10 years of translational science within large pharma or biotech with a proven track record of successful development of clinical biomarkers
・An excellent knowledge of translational requirements for moving projects from proof-of concept in-vivo into trials to generate clinical POM and POC data
・Experience of drug development in oncology, immunology or cardiometabolic disease
・Ability to quickly absorb new information and develop understanding of relevant biology, pathway, MOA and disease indication
・Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
